In order to keep students moving in right direction, Lovely Professional University organized motivating event The Challenge of Change, where internationally distinguished young achievers & motivational speakers inspired LPU Students. Visiting inspirers included Ethical Hacker, Vice President at Lucideus Rahul Tyagi (an LPU alumnus); Hollywood trained actor, director, dancer Varun Paruthi; and, comedian Jaspreet Singh. Conducted by students organization Wings of Hope, the event proved to provide entrepreneurship aspiring environment to the students. LPU Director General Er HR Singla welcomed the elite guests at densely packed Shanti Devi Mittal auditorium of the university.
While interacting with students, the LPU alumnus, presently ethical hacker & Vice-President (Training) at Lucideus, Rahul Tyagi shared security & hacking tips with the students. He demonstrated his skills live on the LPU stage by hacking a students mobile phone in just 30 seconds. Worth mentioning, Rahul is an LPU post-graduate with majors in Computer Science. He has conducted 100+ training sessions globally in past 5 years. Being a cyber space researcher, Rahul has found critical vulnerabilities on websites of Intel, Sony, HP, Discovery Networks and many more. As such, his session was especially on exploiting computer vulnerabilities along with ethical hacking lessons.
Inspiring social media star and multi-talented personality, Varun motivated students to be focused on their goals. Sharing his motto of Bringing Humanity Back (BHB), Varun also demonstrated his Hollywood talent on the famous rhythms. He asked students to help others and keep on doing good deeds. After getting training from Hollywood (California), Varun has worked in many commercials, advertisements, music videos, and bollywood films. He has conducted many social experiments to raise awareness of the bystander effect in Indian Society. Explaining about the effect, he advised students: When someone is in a dangerous situation, provide help to the victim. Unlike most peoples natural reaction, do not ignore and move away from the scene.
Similarly, comedian Jaspreet Singh entertained LPU students with his uninhibited sense of humor, and told them that Laughter is the best medicine and a therapy. During closing hour, rhythmic performances by the band Vishuddh and OMG dance group boosted students spirits to be on to numerous new & successful startups.
Illustrative, LPU creates an entrepreneurial environment at the campus so that students come forward to become job-providers rather than job-seekers. On these lines, one of the CSE students at LPU, Triloki Nath Sinha, along with other students, has framed an organization The wings of hope to convene such morale boosting events. Sinhas one other project Cabbei24 is also being incubated, from where he plans to launch direly needed cab services for university residents.
